This Valentine’s Day, the Spare a Rose Save a Child campaign will once again raise awareness and donations for the IDF Life for a Child Programme by encouraging people to buy one less rose and donate the value of that flower to children with diabetes.
Developed by Partnering for Diabetes Change, a coalition of activists living with diabetes and industry representatives, the campaign will run from February 1 to 14.
Donors can choose to give a one-off or recurring monthly donation to Life for a Child.
In 2015, Spare a Rose raised over USD 24,000 from 684 donations. This allowed more than 400 children with diabetes in the developing world supported by Life for a Child to be kept alive for one year.
Help raise awareness for #SpareARose by blogging, Tweeting, Facebooking, etc. about the effort. A series of materials are available to help spread the word.
